How to Choose Where to Stay in Negril

The biggest decision when booking accommodation in Negril is choosing between the beach and the cliffs. Seven Mile Beach offers the classic Caribbean vacation — white sand, calm water, and a lively atmosphere with restaurants and bars right on the beach. The West End cliffs offer something completely different — dramatic volcanic rock, hidden swimming coves, and a more intimate, adventurous vibe.

Many visitors split their stay between the two areas to experience both sides of Negril. A few nights on Seven Mile Beach for sun and sand, followed by a few nights on the West End for cliff jumping, sunset dining, and spa treatments. The two areas are only a short drive apart, so moving between them is easy.

Peak season runs from December through April, when prices are highest and availability tightest. Shoulder months (May, June, November) offer the best value with excellent weather. Hurricane season (July through October) brings lower prices but a higher chance of rain.
